Sigrid Schmeisser is a designer from Austria, based in the Netherlands. Schmeisser works both in the cultural and the academic sector. A strong research and conceptual approach underpins her work, which varies from publications, exhibitions and multi-media projects. In her own research projects she investigates discard studies through post-natural landscapes such as landfills (From Centre to Periphery) as well as the relationship between humans and plants (SOLIDAGO,  RACCOGLIERE).

She recently completed her second Masters in Geo-Design at the Design Academy Eindhoven, Netherlands.

Peak15 is a design & research studio founded by Sigrid Schmeisser in 2016 in the UK, and later moved to the Netherlands. Its intention is to bridge the gap between science and communication in order to make research more accessible to wider audiences. Projects included a travel exhibitions, several exhibition identities during the Edinburgh Festival, publications, poster-framework and web platforms for researchers from institutions including the University of Edinburgh, M-ITI Madeira, TU Delft and Aarhus University.
