Sigrid Schmeisser (AT/NL) is a designer and researcher whose practice is characterized by a site-responsive approach resulting in a range of multi-media based outcomes. A focus lies on investigating landfills as post-natural landscapes within the long-term project »Centre to Periphery«. Chapters include a lecture performance (premiered at Dutch Design Week 23), ongoing documentary photography, artistic publications, and an award-winning essay (Avery Review, July 2024). A second interest are more-than-human relationships including species with invasive behavior, and foregrounding plants as agents into complex ecosystems (»Raccogliere Magazine«).

She completed a second Masters in Geo-Design (2023) at the Design Academy Eindhoven, Netherlands.

Peak15 is a design & research studio founded by Sigrid Schmeisser in 2016 in Scotland, and moved to the Netherlands in 2020. The studio works with academics and researchers to distill and publish their research. Projects included a travel exhibitions, several exhibition identities during the Edinburgh Festival, publications, poster-framework and web platforms for researchers from institution including the University of Edinburgh, M-ITI Madeira, TU Delft and Aarhus University.
